What it builds
Same counting-and-sequencing skill as the star in this family's other sheets, with a recognizable everyday picture as the reveal instead of an abstract shape — a house with a peaked roof and a front door. Some children stay more engaged by a puzzle that reveals something nameable at the end, and this page gives that option without changing what's actually being practiced: numeral order, one dot to the next. Nine points keep this in the same easy range as the 1-to-10 star, just a different picture for variety within the same skill level.
Ready when
A child who can recognize numerals 1 through 10 in order and hold a crayon or pencil is ready — the same readiness bar as any other 1-to-10 dot-to-dot in this set. A good alternative for a child who has already done the star version and wants a fresh picture at the same difficulty.
How to run it
Print one copy. Have them find and touch each numeral in order first, without drawing, then go back and connect dot to dot, saying each number out loud as they draw to it. Three to five minutes covers the page. Once finished, ask them what the picture shows before telling them — noticing the house shape as it forms is part of the fun. Both UK (A4) and US (Letter) paper sizes print from the same download.
