What it builds
A maze is one of the earliest planning tasks a child does on paper: hold the goal in mind and look ahead past a dead end. Ten mazes from Season 1 of Keyo & the Lost Recipes put Keyo as the recurring start icon and that chapter's Lost Recipe as the finish, so the path practice is also a story preview.
Ready when
Any preschooler who can hold a crayon and trace a simple line is ready — no counting or reading required. Start here after an easy single-page maze feels comfortable.
How to run it
Print one maze at a time. Point to Keyo (start) and the goal icon before they begin, then let them finger-trace first and pencil second. Five to ten minutes covers a page. Both A4 and Letter files are in the Etsy download.
