How to use this

  • What it builds

Logic: ruling pictures out until only one answer is left. Pictures instead of numbers let a child learn the one-of-each rule before they know their digits.

  • Ready when

A child who can tell four different pictures apart and keep a simple rule in mind, usually from about 5 years old. No reading is needed.

  • How to run it

A grown-up sets the child's age once; the game starts at a suitable level. Ask: which pictures are already in this row? So which one is missing? Hints are free. Afterwards ask which square they found first and how they knew.
