How to use this

  • What it builds

Working memory: holding in mind where things are for a few seconds. Matching pairs also builds careful looking. Each picture is named aloud as it turns, so the word is heard as well as seen.

  • Ready when

A child who can recognise everyday pictures such as a cat, a bus or an apple. No reading is needed.

  • How to run it

A grown-up sets the child's age once; the game starts at a suitable level. Ask before each tap: where did you see the other one? Let them point first. Afterwards ask how they remembered. Misses are normal and part of the game.
