How to use this

What it builds. Spotting and extending a repeating pattern is one of the first real pieces of logical reasoning a young child does.

Before you start. A child who can name and sort objects by one feature (color, shape, kind) is ready to spot a pattern in a row of them.

How to run it. Work through the four pattern types in order: AB, AAB, ABB, then ABC. Say the pattern out loud together, then circle what comes next from the three choices. Finish with the certificate and progress-stars page.
