How to use this

  • What it builds

Dinosaurs are one of the strongest early interests, and a topic a child cares about holds attention for longer, which is what colouring practice needs. Large body shapes train even filling and grip control, and naming each dinosaur as it is coloured builds vocabulary and early science language.

  • Ready when

Any child who can hold a crayon is ready. The dinosaurs are drawn friendly and rounded with no scary details, so they suit toddlers through early primary. Younger children can scribble-fill, older ones can add scenery.

  • How to run it

Print once and let your child pick a favourite to start. Ask which dinosaur is the biggest, which eats plants, and what colour the baby should be. Each page takes about ten minutes. A4 and US Letter both print from the same download.
