How to use this

  • What it builds

Open, bold outlines let children practise controlled colouring while naming what they see in the season: the leaves, the acorns, the apple. Choosing realistic autumn colours (reds, oranges, browns) or deliberately silly ones both train colour-matching and the decision-making that goes with it, and filling a whole shape evenly is real fine-motor work.

  • Ready when

Suitable for any child who can hold a crayon. The shapes are big and forgiving, so younger children can scribble-fill and older ones can add backgrounds, patterns on the leaves or a story about the scarecrow.

  • How to run it

Print once, set out crayons in fall colours and let your child choose a page. Pair it with a walk to collect real leaves and acorns, then compare the real ones with the picture. Each page takes about ten minutes. Both A4 and US Letter print from the same download.
