Before a letter, a child needs the strokes letters are built from: straight lines, curves, zigzags and loops. These sheets practice each one on its own, so a wobbly line gets dedicated practice instead of getting lost inside a whole letter.
Where to start
Try one line or shape at a time. An adult can model the direction with a finger first; a wobbly attempt is useful information about which stroke to practice next.
