Crumble

Helping. Always helping. Rarely helping.

Crumble is a small sprite made of flour dust, with hair like a little cloud. He wants very badly to make the bakery more magical, and he is completely certain that the way to do it is to add one more ingredient. It is never the right ingredient. He is not naughty and he is never mean — he is just faster than his own judgement, and always sorry afterwards.

Being useful, or at least being included
Always says
“I help!”

Crumble is palm-sized and made of flour dust, with hair like a little cloud that never quite settles. He lives in the Magical Bakery because he belongs there — not as a pest, but as someone who genuinely wants to help.

The trouble is timing. Crumble is completely certain that the way to make anything more magical is to add one more ingredient. He says "I help!" and pinches something in before anyone can finish the sentence "wait." It is never the right ingredient. Rainbow smoke, bouncing batter, cookies that float — Crumble did not mean any of it.

He is not naughty and he is never mean. He is just faster than his own judgment, and always sorry afterwards. Mia forgives him because she can see the want underneath the mess: Crumble needs to be useful, or at least included. He peeks out guilty after a fix, waves a tiny hello, and sometimes asks "Sorry… taste?" with hope in his bright curious eyes. Proud pinch, guilty peek — you learn to read both.

In the bakery

Crumble hides behind flour bags, pops out at the wrong moment, and turns an ordinary mix into an adventure. He and Muffin are chaos buddies — two small forces who start things without planning the ending. Keyo sometimes hides near him for seek-and-find games. The crew's job is never to shut Crumble out; it is to slow him down enough to listen before the pinch. When the chorus sings "Uh-oh… Crumble did it again!" it is because he actually caused the chaos — never blame when someone else started the mess. Flour sprites belong in bakeries; this one belongs in this family.

For grown-ups

Crumble is the well-meaning helper every classroom and kitchen knows — eager, impulsive, genuinely remorseful. He gives you language for "good intentions, messy outcome" without shame. After a Crumble moment at home, try: "You wanted to help. What should we check before we add the next thing?" He also shows that belonging matters as much as being right — inclusion prevents smaller helpers from going rogue.

Colour Crumble in

Crumble's flour-cloud hair is a blank canvas — give him streaks of sugar, cocoa, or rainbow dust.
