What the book is
In a Magical Bakery, seven-year-old Mia and a floating recipe book named Keyo hunt for twenty Lost Recipes with a crew of flour sprites, oven helpers and one very helpful (and very messy) friend called Crumble. Each chapter is a short adventure that ends the same night it starts: a problem appears, the crew try a recipe, something goes wrong, and they fix it together. The book is a treasury of twenty self-contained stories that also form one season arc — you can read a single chapter at bedtime, or follow the whole hunt from the first recipe to the last. It is written for children ages 5–8 to hear read aloud, at a clear early-reader level, with morals that show up in what the characters do rather than in a lecture at the end.
Who it is for
This is the book for a family that already likes the free Bakery Crew colouring pages, or that wants a gentle adventure series without cliffhangers overnight. Grown-ups get a story that respects kids: no mean jokes at a child's expense, no scares left hanging until tomorrow, and a bakery full of helpers who make ordinary messes and repair them. The text is the same across editions; only the art changes.
